Community projects in the works: 

• Heavy Duty trash cans that will be anchored (1)to be installed around common area on Winding Woods (tennis, basketball and picnic area) Installed on 06?08/2008
• Lighting poles for pavilion and tennis courts, Progress: bid are in and have been awarded. Contractor is very ill! If his condition does not improve we'll solicit other bids. 
• Security cameras being installed at the entrance and exit of the community. Progress: bids are in and under review. Waiting on reply from county on adding speed bumps at the entryway only so we can get good shots of license plates.
• new*** VERY IMPORTANT INFO!! FIGHTING the rezoning of the parcel of land where the former Palm Beach Polo was (that we all drive by every day) from R/2(2 lots per acre, residential)  to high density commercial (Big box commercial, such as a retail super-store). Progress: The board has joined in with the coalition of all other communities on Lake Worth Road to try to HALT this reclassification. Our own board member Patrick Wilson is helping to lead this battle! He as well as one of our other board members (Ron Weiland) have attended several meetings and Patrick is nearing completion of a dedicated web site that will keep all residents of the coalition informed. We need all of your help! Go to the commissioners and e-mail all of them with your displeasure of adding thousands of more cars daily on Lake Worth Road!!!
